section3: reflection about y-axis
reflection about the y-axis basically means the graph will be reflected on the opposite side of the y-axis i.e. the x-coordinates are multiplied by -1.
take the following y=f(x) for example:
the graph cuts the x-axis at x=1 and x=5

for a y=f(-x), the graph will be reflected about the y-axis and all the x-coordinates will be multiplied by -1.
hence this graph will cut the x-axis at x=-1 and x=-5 instead.

e.g. y = x+2

in a nutshell, for x-coordinate x, upon reflection about the y-axis, it will become -x.

simple simple section, don't you agree? alright then,
the following graph is translated into y=f(-x).

which of the following graphs is the new graph? EASY!!!
